Permanent binding and final-sale cutoff
Once a PulseWidth vehicle license is bound to that vehicle's protected original file identity, the license is permanently assigned and the purchase is non-refundable and non-transferable, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Returning the ECU to stock, removing PulseWidth features or ECU Protection, selling the vehicle, replacing equipment, closing an account, or uninstalling the software does not cancel or release the bound license and does not create a refund right. The server-recorded binding time and retained protected-original identity determine whether binding occurred.
Before permanent binding
Before binding, a customer may request a refund within 30 days of purchase if the license has not been used to flash a vehicle and has not been bound to a protected original. We may also approve refunds for accidental duplicate purchases or where we confirm that the purchased product does not support the selected ECU and cannot reasonably be made to do so.
A refund request does not guarantee approval. We may require the invoice, account, selected vehicle, diagnostic records, and other information reasonably needed to confirm eligibility and prevent fraud.
Non-refundable situations
- The vehicle license has been permanently bound to its protected original file identity.
- The license has been used for an ECU write or protected-project activation.
- More than 30 days have passed since purchase.
- The request follows misuse, a prohibited use, ignored safety instructions, or an unsupported vehicle selection made despite a displayed warning.
- The customer returned the ECU to stock, removed features, sold the vehicle, replaced hardware, or no longer wants the license.
No waiver of non-waivable rights
Nothing in this policy excludes a refund, remedy, or consumer right that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive. Any legally required exception is limited to the extent the law requires.
Requesting an eligible refund
