11. Mobile Application
Our Android application collects and processes additional data specific to mobile device usage:
- Push Notifications:We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications about tune revisions and session updates. Your device's FCM token is sent to our servers and stored in our database to enable notification delivery. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings.
- Crash Diagnostics:If the application crashes, a diagnostic log containing the error details and basic device information is saved locally to your device's storage. These logs are not automatically transmitted to our servers. You may choose to share them with our support team for troubleshooting purposes.
- USB Hardware Communication:The application communicates with your vehicle's ECU through a USB OTG adapter (e.g., Tactrix OpenPort 2.0). Data read from the ECU — including sensor readings, diagnostic trouble codes, and ROM contents — is processed locally on your device. Datalog sensor data may be periodically uploaded to our servers for auto-tune analysis if you have opted into the Auto-Tune feature.
- Local Storage:ROM files, datalogs, and session data are stored in application-specific storage on your device. This data persists until you clear the app's data or uninstall the application.
